One Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash On I-83: PennDOT

A multi-vehicle crash left one person hospitalized and caused major traffic delays on Interstate 83 North in York County, according to emergency dispatch on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes at Exit 40, Limekiln Road, in Fairview Township. The wreck blocked multiple lanes, forcing traffic to detour onto the Limekiln Road exit and travel along the shoulder.

Emergency crews transported one person to a nearby hospital.

Crews cleaned up spilled fuel and other vehicle liquids from the crash site, and the vehicles were towed fro. The scene.

Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Grothey has confirmed the crash details and said the injuries were minor.

The roadway reopened just before 2 p.m.

Driver should use cause as there could be residual displays.
